Not all molds are the same. Most molds give allergic reactions. Such as; itchy watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, skin rash; various infections and asthma are also common. Other molds such as stachybotrys chartarum also known as "black mold" or "toxic mold" can cause severe respiratory health problems and should be reported to your health professional if you have been exposed and are experiencing respiratory problems. The only way to determine the type of mold that is present in your home is to have it tested.
